ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW
FAQ
What information do you require from us to change to a lower cost provider?
A copy of a recent electricity bill (actual not estimated), your CIF certificate and company bank account details. This is usually enough but we may need additional copies of bills if you require a report.
How soon would we start to see savings?
Your current supplier has 45 days to release your account to another provider. However, this has been known to take a little longer.
Do we need to contact our supplier or bank?
Everything is handled by us. Once you have decided to change supplier and given us authority to act on your behalf, we deal with the changeover.
Will I lose connection during the change?
Certainly not, it all happens on a flick of a switch. The first you know it has happened is when you receive a much lower bill.
Who will read my meter
The meter reading company is a third party company. They read meters for Gas, Electricity, water etc. The electricity companies that we are working with have agreed to guarantee that the meters are read monthly. Clients will receive their bills every month by post and also by email if they would like. We felt this was important as expats often spend long periods of time in the UK.
What if there is a power cut or my electricity is cut off?
If there was a power cut the only difference from Endesa or any other electricity company is the number on the bill to contact customer services. Again, like the meter reading company it is a third party company who mend power cuts and faults. There would be no difference from Joe Bloggs up the road who is still with Endesa.
Are the savings solely on the tariff per kilowatt?
Savings are made in several ways and at different times. The kilowatt price is discounted when you change - your new tariff is usually fixed for a period so you benefit from not paying annual price increases and, by changing, you are entering the free market which means you are free from penalties imposed by the government.
What happens in a year's time will my bill be more expensive and lose any savings?
We are a broker and are constantly looking for a better deal for our clients. The contracts are for a year and we will always be looking to get a better deal for our clients as they are reaching the end of their contracted period.
Are we tied into a contract with you?
No. We are confident that you will not find an electricity supplier offering rates lower than ours however you may switch or cancel your service at any time with no penalty.
Who is our contract with?
Your contract is with the electricity supplier. We are simply a bridge between your company and the provider.
I think I have a contract with Endesa.
When did you last negotiate your new rates with them? If it is in the last 6 months you need to check. If it has been over 6 months you should be ok to switch.
Will I have to change my meter?
No, you use the same meter.
